Role Overview :
The Director of Racing and Breed Development is responsible for carrying out, developing and promoting the three Breed Development Programs within the Indiana Horse Racing Commission. This position requires knowledge and oversight of multi-million-dollar program budgets and understanding of revenues impacting horse racing. An extensive knowledge of the horse racing industry in Indiana is preferred, along with Indiana agricultural experience, both statewide and nationally. The ideal candidate will possess the ability to manage and coordinate multiple projects; develop spreadsheets, analyze budgets and statistics; conduct accounting procedures and possess an understanding of the state budget and administrative processes. It is vital that the successful candidate has the necessary skill set to perform real-time analysis of the programs, provide strategic recommendations and make adaptations to ensure continued success.
Salary Statement :
The salary for this position traditionally starts at $67,314.00 but may be commensurate with education or work experience.
