JOB FUNCTIONS

Assist with the preparation and filing of the quarterly NCUA 5300 Call Report and Profile Monitor and research regulatory changes affecting the NCUA 5300 Call Report and Profile or other regulatory reporting. Maintain and reconcile accounting records and ledgers. Prepare entries for the completion of regular and special financial statements which may include balance sheets, profit and loss statements, CUSO reports, etc. Review and verify the accuracy of general ledger entries. Assist with the completion of the month end closing process. Prepare other special accounting reports and analyses for management or for regulatory or other government agencies, external auditors, and regulatory examiners. Make recommendations to management concerning possible methods to improve reporting and be prepared to carry out those recommendations. Perform special assignments as requested by senior management and/or the Controller. Qualifications KNOWLEDGE Incumbent should have an excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Office products and an understanding of generally accepted accounting principles. SKILLS A positive attitude that is team oriented; detail oriented; able to see the steps necessary to get things done; meets deadlines; willing to put in the necessary time to get the job done - but at the same time manages time effectively and willing to take responsibility for own actions. Effective communication and organizational skills; ability to analyze financial reports. EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE Incumbent should possess a four-year degree in business with a major in accounting or finance.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

The position requires the following physical activities within varying environmental conditions: Occasionally remaining in a stationary position which may be standing or sitting for a prolonged period. Occasional travel or moving from one office location to another or from one department to another at the headquarters building. Occasional lifting, moving, or adjusting objects up to 20 pounds. Constant communication with others through various channels including verbal, email, and chat of which the last two may require consistent use of a keyboard and mouse or another electronic device. Work will be in a commercially reasonable temperature-controlled environment. Occasional temporary exterior site review which could be in outdoor elements of wind, rain, or snow.
