Job Title- Materials Scheduler/Planner
Location- Phoenix AZ USA 85034
Day Shift with Saturday rotation
Pay Rate: $24 -$26/hr. on W2 (US Citizen Only)
Key Responsibilities
• Oversee the forecasting, planning, scheduling, and workflow processes.
• Collaborate daily with operations, procurement, and logistics to meet and exceed customer expectations.
• Review order quantities and confirm inventory needs 1-3 weeks in advance by communicating the production schedule for each product.
• Coordinate inventory levels relative to manufacturing capacity and capability; compile and schedule orders to ensure optimal production levels.
• Assist production management in directing and managing assembly operations to prioritize production and ensure timely and cost-effective completion.
• Work with sales on contract volumes to ensure materials and production meet order frequency.
• Develop a structured forecasting system using business volume history, customer demands, and production output metrics to ensure appropriate inventory levels.
• Monitor material supply flow and identify any shortages or bottlenecks.
• Produce reports based on findings and production performance.
• Coordinate and manage production schedules to meet customer demands and optimize resource allocation.
• Monitor and analyze production data to identify opportunities for process improvement and waste reduction.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure the availability of materials and resources needed for production.
• Maintain accurate inventory records and ensure compliance with inventory control procedures.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives in production and material scheduling to enhance operational efficiency.
Qualifications
• High school diploma required; college degree is a plus.
• 2-4 years of experience in production scheduling, supply chain management, or a related field.
• Experience with SAP ERP system or equivalent ERP systems.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office programs (MS Excel, MS Project, Smartsheet).
• Strong communication skills in technical work environments.
• Ability to earn trust and maintain positive and professional relationships.
• Ability to manage multiple projects with changing priorities.
• U.S. citizenship required due to the defense and space nature of the facility.
