Urologic Surgery Advanced Practice Provider

The Division of Surgery at Banner Thunderbird Medical Center and Banner Medical Group are actively seeking an Advanced Practice Provider with interest in Urology to provide a full-range of Urologic services in a dynamic environment; offering comprehensive and evidence-based care to the communities we serve. Our PA/ACNP will provide clinic, inpatient and OR first-assist coverage. Qualified candidates must have the ability to work in a collaborative environment; one that thrives in a highly integrated and innovative setting and a desire to focus on patient excellence.

We are seeking applicants with:

Board Certification as a Physician Assistant or Acute Care Nurse Practitioner

ACNP is required to have an RNFA certificate at the time of application

o (Documentation of successful completion of surgical first assistant training as a part of curriculum in their nationally accredited nurse practitioner program OR Attendance at a surgical first assist training course sponsored by ACE, AORN, ANCC, or equivalent as approved by the facility Credentials Committee/Medical Executive Committee)

Licensed or eligible to be licensed in the state of AZ

Current prescribing privileges including a DEA license for controlled substance

1-2 years' Urology experience preferred with surgical assist skillset

Practice Details:

Full-time M-F; 8am - 5pm

Clinical/Surgical position

Provide care from the initial patient point of contact to pre-surgical requirements, and post-op follow-ups

Banner Thunderbird Medical Center (BTMC) has served the Northwest Valley for more than 25 years with an unrelenting focus on excellent patient care. A recently completed $290 million expansion highlights BTMC's Level I Adult Trauma Center for patients 15 and older. Designation as an Arizona Level I Trauma Center means Banner Thunderbird can provide total care for every aspect of injury, reducing the need to transfer patients outside the area for life-saving treatment. Examples of injuries a Level I can treat include traumatic car crash injuries, gunshot victims, stab wounds and traumatic brain injuries. BTMC has approximately six hundred beds and has increased its OR capacity to 19 state-of-the-art surgical suites and full complement of medical sub-specialties support a growing patient base and the vibrant Glendale and surrounding communities.
